Q1. What happens after I send my product or supplier information? Send a product link, a supplier quote, or product photos through the contact form. Within 12 hours you receive the three priority risks we see in that product or quote, plus a clear recommendation for the next step. The initial review is free, and there is no commitment. If the project moves forward, the Supplier Sample Risk Check starts from US$299. Q2. How much does a BOM audit cost?
BOM & Teardown Audits are quoted at $500–$1,500 depending on scope, with a typical 3–5 day turnaround. Sourcing and factory QC engagements are quoted after the product, quantity, destination, and required inspection scope are confirmed. Scope and price are agreed in writing before work begins.
Q3. How long does an audit take?
An Initial Product Review returns within 12 hours. A BOM & Teardown Audit typically takes 3–5 days. Larger engagements (sourcing + QC) are scheduled around your production timeline.
Q4. Do you sign NDAs? Will my product and supplier information stay confidential?
Yes. Product details, quotes, and supplier information are handled confidentially and never shared outside your engagement. If you need a formal NDA before sharing sensitive documents, we're happy to sign yours or provide ours.
Q5. What does an audit report include?
Every report is a structured finding table: supplier claim, verified finding, risk level, cost impact, and recommended action — component by component. It ends with a clear verdict: proceed, renegotiate, fix before production, or stop.
Q6. Do you take commissions or kickbacks from factories?
No. We operate a zero-conflict policy: we do not take kickbacks from factories, and our loyalty is to the data and to the client. This is why we can publish real factory-cost numbers — we have no incentive to inflate them.
Q7. Can you audit products outside your 6 categories?
We focus on 6 categories we can disassemble with confidence: fans & air, personal care, kitchen, heating, audio, and power. For products outside these, we'll tell you honestly whether we can audit them at the required depth — we'd rather decline than guess.
Q8. Do you source products and manage production for me?
Yes — after an audit passes, we provide engineering-screened supplier shortlists, sample coordination, and production/factory QC against the frozen BOM. Final supplier selection and purchase decisions stay with you. Shipping, customs, and freight are handled by you or your forwarder.
Q9. Can you do in-person factory inspections?
Yes. Production QC and pre-shipment reviews are conducted at the factory against the frozen BOM and approved sample spec, with photographic evidence for every finding.
