The Comparison: Metal vs. Plastic Look at the two motors on my workbench (see photo above).
- The Right (The Risk): A plastic-housed motor. It’s cheaper to make, but plastic is an insulator. High-speed motors generate immense heat. In a plastic shell, heat builds up, efficiency drops, and the RPM degrades rapidly.
- The Left (The Standard): Metal frame with aluminum alloy blades. Metal is a conductor. It pulls heat away from the motor coils, ensuring stable, high-speed performance even during long drying sessions.
Why This Matters for B2B Buyers: If you are an Amazon seller or a DTC brand, choosing the wrong motor leads to:
